CommInsure is a division within Wealth Management offering a range of life insurance, superannuation, retirement income, investment and general insurance products.
About the role
The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting the Executive Manager Strategy Business Development. You will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA's Value's of Excellence, Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability and Service:
- Managing projects, undertaking analysis and preparing effective communications which develop and drive CommInsure's strategy
- Assisting the Line of Business in translating the CommInsure Strategy for their business area
- Working with Lines of Business and Support Services to develop business cases and project plans for key strategic initiatives
- Contributing to development and implementation of WM strategic priorities
- Providing insights on competitors, market trends and developments
- Ad-hoc strategic initiatives on behalf of the Executive including preparation for strategy off-sites, organisational development and cross CBA / WM / CommInsure activities
- Liaising and clearly communicating CommInsure strategy with centre support functions including Wealth Management Strategy and Group Strategic Development
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Experience in a strategy, research/analyst or corporate advisory role. You may currently work in-house eg corporate strategy / development but your background includes external eg management consulting, professional services
- Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Strong research, modelling and analytical skills
- The ability to understand complex problems quickly and to formulate effective logical solutions
- Sound knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to insurance (not essential)
- Demonstrated ability to translate analysis into relevant and insightful ideas / thoughts / views
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Post graduate qualifications desirable
You will also be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to use your own initiative and work within tight timeframes. A proven track record of co-ordinatingprojects, or implementingchange while being able to influence key stakeholders is also key.
