Senior Manager – Treasury recruitment
Offering a comprehensive range of individual life products, including protection and wealth accumulation products, my client is one of the leading players in the Hong Kong financial services market and is looking to appoint a Senior Manager within their Treasury Accounting team.
Responsibilities include -
- Independently manage daily cash flow forecast to ensure no idle funds and maximize returns
- Work closely with Accounting to understand the accounting treatment and impact of all treasury decisions and alert management of any foreseen issues
- Owner of daily unit linked funds trading operation and fund valuation to ensure accurate and prompt fund transactions and accurate fund prices are issued daily
- Establish all cash management/ treasury related policies and procedures
- Lead all cash operation related projects
- Key player in all new unit link investment product launches and system implementation and conversion.
- Independently manage effective working relationship with banks, custodians and investment managers
- Manage payment team to ensure smooth expense payment and accrual processes.
- Develops staff under his/her supervision
Experience required -
- Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Economics, Preferably with Masters Degree in Business Administration
- 5-7 years prior working experience in cash and liquidity management, investment administration with adequate exposure in fund valuation, securities and investment accounting with relevant experience dealing with banks, brokers and custodians
- Ability in treasury and investment with emphasis on securities/ funds
- Ability in yield features, entitlements, settlement practices, investment laws, taxation and accounting
- Working knowledge of banking rules and practices
- Adequate exposure on risk management
- Specialized skills and knowledge on investment securities including derivatives
- Applies good knowledge of US GAAP principles on investments
- Applies knowledge on the financial services industry with banking and insurance as key components
