Senior Manager Treasury
Reporting to the Head of Central Functions BUCF, the role will have responsibility for activity that enables Treasury to meet its corporate governance obligations including compliance with Bank policies, regulation and statutory requirements; maintain the operational and regulatory risk framework within which Treasury operates; and understand and help mitigate Treasury's operational risks.
Implement the Group's operational risk framework within Treasury, including maintaining the risk and events data in ORS, the material event escalation process, control self assessment activity, and activities to support the Group's operational risk model.
Perform risk based review of the controls effectiveness for all controls within Treasury functions.
Perform the operational risk review of the Treasury systems and process including Treasury Finance and operations and report the findings and recommendations to appropriate forum (Risk committee /Operational Risk Management Committee).
Perform periodic walk through of all important processes within the Treasury function. Clearly mapping all the systems, inputs, outputs, dependencies, risks and controls for each of the functions.
Perform stress testing for treasury functions for ICAAP.
The candidate will have demonstrable experience of;
Good understanding of end to end processes for Treasury and retail products and processes and ability to collate and understand complex interdependencies and take a strategic view of Operational Risk Management
Good understanding of risk management framework and practices, including new business initiative approval process, control self assessments, risk event analysis and risk management reporting. Good understanding of regulatory requirements relating to Treasury, risk management particularly for a retail bank
Has a strong knowledge of regulatory policy requirements of their role, and a basic knowledge of the regulatory policy requirements of their business area and the industry.
