Senior Manager – Vehicle Remarketing recruitment

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Vehicle Remarketing team for a major Bank. This Bank funds Commercial Vehicles via lease agreements for small, local businesses through to some of the largest companies in the country. With around 300,000 vehicles currently under management, this bank is the UK's leading fleet management and funding specialist.

Vacancy Description:

To develop Vehicle Remarketing's sales strategy to maximise vehicles sales, profitability and stock turnover New and used and driver sales operations, whilst meeting the Banks standards of customer care.

To oversee all Vehicle Remarketing marketing activity while providing strategic planning and control for all facilities and health and safety matters across all sites.

Key Accountabilities:

1) Develop and manage implementation of overall strategy via Senior Managers of Used New to maximise vehicle sales, profitability and stock turnover.

2) Develop and manage implementation of the marketing strategy to facilitate delivery of the required business volumes and maximise market potential for each Vehicle Remarketing sales channel.

3) Take steps top measure and ensure each sales unit is compliant with relevant legislation and audit requirements.

4) Lead, direct and motivate Senior Managers of Used new department in implementing the strategy, development of sales and operations planes for medium and long term development of markets and maximising the potential of their teams.

5) Develop high level relationships with motor manufacturers and dealers to maximise market potential and ensure continued commitment for direct supply of new and used vehicles.

6) Management of budgets for New Used driver sales, marketing and premises.

7) Provide health safety support to each Vehicle Remarketing business unit whilst maintaining regular liaison with group health safety.

9) To manage the provision of facilities services to Vehicle Remarketing business units including:
Security of all sites
Liaison with third party contractors/suppliers
Property and equipment maintenance
Cleaning, waste and confidential waste disposal
Business Contingency planning
Non IT equipment

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Detailed knowledge and experience of both the retail and fleet motor industry covering both new and used values.

An excellent proven sales record of both new and used cars.

Several years people management experience within motor sales environment at a senior level.

Experience of the auction markets and conditions and ensuring the appropriate relationships are maintained to a high level.

Demonstrate experience of strategic management, marketing management, project management and business management experience.

Exceptional negotiations skills and a proven ability to influence and build relations with both motor manufacturers and dealers at board level.

Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver presentations at board level.

Experience of negotiating contracts with third party suppliers.
