My client has experienced a very strong level of growth within the European US markets in recent years and now generates a turnover of around 10 billion euros in these geographies. The successful candidate for this role will get to work with the trading front office teams in Europe, Houston, Singapore Paris. My client is incredibly well known for the high calibre of its staff, so you will instantly be working alongside some of the brightest and most experienced people in this industry.
Responsibilities will include:
• Implementing pricing optimisation strategies across gas, electricity, coal emissions.
• Providing in-depth analysis to identify current future market drivers.
• Analysing market prices and weather impact.
• Working closely with the traders to provide trading recommendations.
• Working in collaboration with the quant team, to design supply/demand models.
• Ensuring that new employees get up and running and fully automated within a very short time frame.
The successful candidate will have:
• An MSc in a numerical or technical subject from a top university.
• 2+ years’ experience as a market/fundamentals analyst in the commodities space.
• Excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of French is considered a plus.
