SENIOR MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT recruitment
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and deliver brand supporting marketing communications projects within agreed timescales and budgets. This should make use of agreed project management procedures and documentation. Typically these projects will be complex or large in nature and will include specific Partners, Strategic Accounts, Corporate schemes and joint Sales and Marketing campaigns.
- Establish, brief and project manage cross-functional teams with a remit to implement communications plans. Lead and co-ordinate marketing communications delivery teams as required.
- Propose, copy-write and develop creative marketing communications across appropriate media to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
- Make effective use of customer insight (e.g. FSS profiles), understand key customer segments to deliver effectively targeted marketing communications.
- Develop and demonstrate in all deliverables a good understanding of:
- The market, the key issues facing the industry, distributors and customer needs.
- Marketing communication developments and potential applications.
- The risk framework and the six Treating Customers Fairly outcomes, in particular outcomes 2 and 3 and how this impacts on communications activity.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Partners, Strategic Accounts and Corporate schemes to deliver appropriate marketing communications within agreed plans.
- Review, analyse and report back results on any delivered campaigns to all key stakeholders along with recommendations for future activity.
- Ongoing maintenance of communication material that support the overall communications strategy.
Core Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage tasks successfully, especially in relation to resolving barriers to achieving project aims.
- Be proactive, initiative-led and flexible approach to work.
Core Requirements:
- Good copywriting skills.
- Experience in participating in teams at varying levels, including managing cross-functional teams.
- Good project management skills.
- A strong knowledge of the Annuities or Corporate Pensions.
- An understanding of the promotional mix and its application.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, distributor and customer requirements and key competitors.
- Awareness of the compliance and regulatory impacts on financial promotions.
- Awareness of legislative and regulatory issues affecting the markets.
- Good understanding of customer segmentation techniques and their application in marketing communications.
