Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job in West Sussex, Southern UK
Job title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
Salary/Rate: £40,000-55,000.
Area: West Sussex.
My clients a developer of Laser based technology are currently looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in West Sussex.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience-
• Masters or preferably a Phd in a mechanical or relevant engineering or physics discipline.
• 3 years experience of leading mechanical design teams/projects.
• Experience of the mechanical design of laser or optics systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for-
• Leading the mechanical design of solid state lasers.
• Leading the development including modelling the materials coatings, cooling, heat exchange and stress.
• Provide management reports of the development progress.
• Work alongside optical and electrical design staff to achieve project goals.
