Our client, a worldwide leading consultancy, is experiencing extraordinary business levels as a result of their long-term strategic planning coming to execution. With a number of projects on the books, the variety of work on offer here is beyond belief. Whether your background is in materials handling, minerals processing or a related heavy industrial background and you are a Senior Mechanical Designer looking for a new challenge then look no further. This position is offered as a long-term Contract; with industry leading rates and to top it off you’ll be working on Multi-Billion dollar projects!
With the firm set to commence their new projects, this is an unprecedented career opportunity in the Brisbane market. We are seeking applications from Senior Mechanical Designer that can demonstrate strong skills using AutoCAD together with a proven ability to act as a leader to less experienced Designer. Upon joining the firm you will benefit from flexible hours and conditions and you will be paid an hourly rate (weekly), with the possibility of a contract extension.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Eligible to work in Australia
- 8+ years experience in Mechanical design drafting
- Strong experience with in the Materials Handling discipline in minerals processing and/or coal industry sectors
- Design experience of conveying systems, bulk materials handling, crushers, processing equipment, piping and rotating machinery
- Strong experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D
- Diploma of Mechanical Engineering is preferred
