SENIOR MECHANICAL DRAFTER
Job Description This role has responsibility for overseeing the creation and delivery of all models and drawing deliverables in a project. The drawing deliverables being everything identified as being necessary to clearly convey the engineering design for that project. This role requires someone with good material handling design and layout skills applicable to the mining industry for both underground and above ground projects. The following responsibilities will be undertaken in this position: To liaise with the client's representative in order to obtain documented instructions and any variations to scope. To be in agreement with, or responsible for, a numbered deliverables list that clearly defines the scope of the project and the relevant scheduling. To manage the delivery of the project in relation to staffing levels and skill requirements. To monitor output and ensure that milestone schedules and client expectations are met. To oversee design input into the drawing office to ensure that deliverables can be completed on time and to the required standard To ensure project procedures, drawing environments, numbering systems, delivery methods and standards be implemented and maintained. To create and maintain an accurate up-to-date record of all drawing issues along with all variations to the original scope and design change requests. To assist the team in creating expectations and accountability in relation to work allocated to individuals. Skills and experience ; Minimum 8 years mechanical drafting experience Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation. Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drawing extraction
