Project Parsons is managing an Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) program for an agency within the Department of Defense to review third party A/E work; conduct studies, analysis, testing and measuring; perform specialized engineering services, planning and design reviews; commissioning services; and construction oversight on worldwide delivery orders. Need Parsons is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design modifications to mechanical systems and components for Tier III and Tier IV data centers and mission critical facilities. The selected candidate will assure conformance to the intent of the client's data center(s) and campus improvement programs, industry design standards, and applicable mechanical codes. In this capacity, you will make design recommendations to increase energy efficiencies, help resolve technical issues, and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of multiple and concurrent projects. You may interface with technical peers, clients, third-party design professionals, construction contractors, and other stakeholders. Keys to your success will be your expertise in cooling, HVAC and/or building automation systems; background in testing, data center or facility modernization experiences; and engineering energy efficiency, security and sustainability to the mechanical systems. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
