Our client is a global leader in the design and supply of chemical process equipment for separation applications.  They specialize in designing and installing innovative systems to convert liquid solutions into dry solids using evaporation, crystallization and drying.  They have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer at their South Chicago Metro headquarters location.

Your focus in this role is to perform mechanical engineering functions to create drawings and calculations for evaporators and crystallizer systems.  As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will generate ASME code calculations, stress analysis, general arrangement (GA) and outline drawings.  In addition, you will review ASME code calculations and drawings submitted by suppliers.

Education and Required Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Fluency in 2D Auto CAD software.

• 5 or more years’ experience with ASME code calculations.

• Knowledge of project management fundamentals. • 5 or more years’ experience with ASME code calculations.

 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with stress analysis.

• Experience in the chemical process industry.

• Fluency in 3D Auto CAD software.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

• Ability to travel up to 10%.
