Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Our client have been directly involved in the design of over 45 educational facilities. They have strong practical knowledge and excellent qualifications to deliver distinctive systems designs in electrical and mechanical.
The Role:
The Company seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their local team in Greater Vancouver. The successful will be able to lead the team, and have solid knowledge of building and plumbing codes. The Senior Mechanical designer will have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build strong working relationship. Specifically, the Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Mentor and lead junior staff
· Build and maintain strong relationships with all customers, both external and internal
· Work well in a team setting
· Working with customer specifications
The Candidate:
Applicants for this role must have the following:
- 10+ years working experience in HVAC or Plumbing Systems Design
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work in a time sensitive environment
- Must have knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards and plumbing codes
- Solid AutoCAD design experience
- Excellent customer service skills, including building and maintaining solid relationships
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
