Senior Mechanical Project Engineer Job in New Port Richey 34654, Florida US

Our Industrial division offers a unique and challenging opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer based out of New Port Richey, FL. This key individual will be responsible for supporting all phases of quality assurance and quality control, PR/MRB activities, related with customer/government/FAS/suppliers for all Quality and technical matters; Support all phases of production; Quality/Inspection planning, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action development and implementation; Supervision of Inspection and Quality Assurance personnel.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

·   Lead a technical team in the design of aircraft engine air filtration products to customer specifications.

·   Responsibilities include development of design concepts, analysis of design, solid modeling, creation of drawing package, risk analysis, project management, dimensional tolerance analysis, and overseeing product build and validation testing activities.

·   Manage all engineering project activities for multiple projects through design and qualification.

·   Responsible for adherence to schedule and budget requirements.

·   Help to develop other project engineers

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OR AREAS UNDER INCUMBENTS CONTROL

·   Work with PAC Sales applications engineers and customers to define the design requirements for engine air cleaners to be designed manufactured and produced byPAC.

·   Perform required calculations / analysis to verify designs will meet customer specification requirements.

·   Work with CAD designers and draftsmen to create, review and approve drawings required for manufacturing and assembly of the product.

·   Manage multiple project functions through design and qualification testing.

·   Lead design teams on large programs when multiple engineers are assigned.

EDUCATION/PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·   BSME plus ten years of experience in aerospace engineering.

·   Two years or more of CFD analysis of aircraft engine intakes. (preferably helicopter intakes)

·   Two years or more of aircraft engine test cell experience. (engine performance validation)

·   Two years or more of experience with aircraft sheet metal design. (airframe / structural)

·   Experienced in project management.

·   Experienced with Fluent (CFD), Catia V5, and Ansys (FEA) software.
