PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY:

A Senior Planner assists in the development and execution of media plans under the direction of a Media Supervisor, Associate Media Director or Regional Communications Director.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

·         Involvement with marketing objectives, which pertain to the Client’s advertising goals and objectives.

·         Initiate creative, innovative uses of media relevant to Client’s business.

·         Supervise, motivate and train lower level staff for their supporting assistance in carrying out related duties.

·         Supervises and manages day to day plan changes.

·         Regular contact with clients and account management including presenting to both.

·         Meet with sales representative.

·         Evaluate media opportunities and provide POV.

·         Interpret and evaluate availability of marketing and research data to develop media objectives and strategies.

·         Works with planning and account team to develop objectives and strategies, plans and presentations.

·         Maintain media plan, which includes budgeting, scheduling and establishing benchmarks for control.

·         Investigate and utilize information from syndicated research sources.

·         Investigate and utilize information from Client’s issues.

·         Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System.

·         Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

·         Effective written and oral presentation skills of media documents for internal, partner and client use.

·         Attention to detail.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

·         Three to five years planning and media experience.

·         Automotive experience preferred.

·         Media Tools, Excel, Word, Powerpoint preferred.

·         Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities.
