The Company
This high performing International Insurer who continue to grow from strength to strength are currently seeking a Senior Underwriter with strong medical knowledge who will proactively service client applications for cover in line with Service Level Agreements.
The Opportunity
The primary responsibilities of this role will include:
- Conducting medical assessments on pre-existing conditions
- Following up on outstanding medical information required to support the application
- Liaising with other internal departments to ensure agreed service standards are met.
- Conducting Competitor analysis within the market and providing ongoing feedback on observations to management.
- Educating customers and explaining reasons for decisions made
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Previous medical underwriting experience from a Life, Travel or Health Insurer.
- Exposure to dealing with pre-existing medical conditions
- Have completed a medical terminology course
- Allied Health Qualification (Highly regarded)
- A professional manner with excellent relationship building skills
- Strong negotiation skills
