The Independent Channel Sales Rep for is responsible for direct sales, growing distribution, and program implementation of the Wonderful Pistachios and Everybody’s Nuts Brands in the NYC Metro area. This sales rep will be the point person to independent grocers, convenience stores operators, and local produce markets. This sales rep will also work closely with a direct store delivery team to ensure the right product is delivered to the right place at the right price.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This person can live in NY, NJ or Southern CT.
- Drive sales from the store level by working directly with produce managers, store managers, and store owners.
- Secure monthly programs and expand distribution with independents and smaller format grocery stores by setting benchmarks and calling on accounts independently
- Independently or with stakeholders develop and implement sales presentations to secure new accounts and or new product distributions
- Develop a clear and measurable monthly volume and distribution plan to achieve overall objectives for each product.
- Develop and manage a forecast of product sales by account by package, promotional execution element tracking, promotional funds and submit as required in timely manner
- Develop and implement local programs including but not limited to planograms, ad activity, price and thematic promotions to achieve agreed upon objectives.
- Monitor and measure results through weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
- Identify and resolve any customer concerns.
- Develop objectives by account and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels within the account to maximize opportunities for expanded distribution throughout the account.
- Manage and participate in Special Events to include working nights and weekends when necessary.
- Manage use of POS, discount budgets, promotional funds, and all other resources to achieve objectives within budget.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- Team player with ability to develop and communicate directly, simply with fact based analytics
- Able to build rapport and connect with local community
- Strong competitive nature with high motivation to accomplish tasks at hand
- Candidate must live in the region.
- Able to travel 20 to 30%
- Good verbal and written communication skills; Proficient in Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook.
