Position overview
The Messaging Expert is responsible for handling the expertise in the team located in Singapore. He/She will report hierarchically to the Head of Messaging Support Operations. His/her main missions consist of:
• Provide oversight to all Messaging activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.
• Expertise in troubleshooting server problems with a focus on rapid resolution of any system outages
• Serve as point of escalation on area of expertise on major incidents
• Effective engagement with technical peer such as architect and project teams on technology roadmap and projects
Responsibilities overview
He/She is responsible for:
- Managing key process improvements for all Messaging environments throughout the organization.
- Where necessary, providing for end-user training and support through verbal and/or written communications
- Problem Management - Analyzing technical problem and creating solution involving technology, methodology, tools and processes.
- Performing both technical and coordination role in planning, implementation and managing Messaging environment.
Requirements
• Minimum 8~10 years of experience in managing Enterprise Messaging environment.
• Microsoft certification for Exchange Server and Symantec Enterprise Vault administration is preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/ 2007 / 2010, Microsoft Office Communicator System, Microsoft Forefront , Microsoft Antigen, Cisco Ironport , Symantec Enterprise Vault, Blackberry Enterprise Server and Good Messaging
• Strong background on messaging collaborative system such as Fax, SMS and lotus notes.
• In-depth working knowledge of the Windows environment with at least 3~5 years of Windows administration experience and a strong understanding of Server Virtualization for Messaging system
• Experienced in monitoring messaging environment with SCOM, Nagios and Sysload.
• Prior working experience with Messagingstats and Boxtone will be highly advantageous.
• Must be able to perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift rooster and to attend to on-call basis whenever required
• Customer service oriented, able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and troubleshooting skills
• Must be self motivated and directed and demonstrate a keen attention to detail and possess the ability to work autonomously
