Senior Metal Trader recruitment
The objective of this role is to seek new opportunities to expand and strengthen it’s already active trading activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Profitable trading of futures and options including sourcing and marketing.
- Opening doors and building strong interpersonal relationships with smelters, the financial institutions and end users.
- Accountable for physical metals being hedged properly.
- Identifying and developing opportunities in which the company’s financial strength can be used appropriately e.g investment opportunities with mines, smelters and producers.
- Monitoring g day-to-day developments in the consuming industries and reacting positively and creatively to changing patterns of supply and consumption.
You will have a strong overview of the global pattern of raw material supply and demand, a personal proven track record of profitable trading and marketing experience involving international markets. Strong contacts with mines, smelters , producers, traders, investors, banks and financial institutions. Good knowledge of the workings and use of LME and hedging in general would be essential.
