Role Summary

The Middleware Application Administrator is a primary resource in engineering and supports the core middleware architecture and applications on all middleware platforms, which enable business critical systems.  This job holder must possess advanced troubleshooting skills and a detailed knowledge of the products used in our middleware infrastructure, as well as the ability to be able to design and implement middleware platform and integration applications. This person must also be capable of learning new technologies in a fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities

• Provide level 3 support for production environments as well as support for functional and performance testing
• Familiarity with the middleware architecture comprised of components based on both off the shelf and custom products such as: WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, WebLogic, SpringSourceTC, RabbitMQ, Gemfire and UC4
• Familiarity with the SSO technology and architecture of components such as: Oracle Access Manager Suite
• Work all cross Development, Testing and Support groups to implement new applications in production, install new releases of existing applications and troubleshoot issues across our Production Non-Production platforms

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

Requirements

• Extensive experience of installation and configuration of Websphere Application on Linux O/S; experience on version 6.1 and up.
• Extensive experience of installation and configuration of Websphere Portal on Linux O/S; experience with 5.1 and up, preferably 6.1
• Extensive experience of administration and configuration of Websphere Portal with SQL and Oracle databases
• Extensive experience of WebSphere architectures and HA installations
• Significant experience of installation and configuration of Middleware platform, such as SpringSourceTC, WebLogic, Gemfire, with integration experience
• Experience of UC4
• Significant experience of installation and configuration on implementing any SSO solution; knowing Oracle Access Manager 10g up will be the big plus
• Significant experience of migrating, deploying and integrating applications on middleware platform
• Extensive experience of maintaining and troubleshooting on middleware Application platforms with scripting skills
• Experience of middleware platform performance tuning
• Experience as a Linux/Unix system administrator and being able to write shell scripts for handling system maintenance tasks
• Able to work under high pressure, participate in follow the sun 24x7 support including on-call and deployment work and participating in  knowledge share
•  Ability to work independently
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
