RecruitR is working with one of the biggest best miners in the business. This mining company has interests in a range of commodities and boasts multiple operations throughout Australia. The company has significant interests in Queensland's Bowen Basin and is currently seeking to expand their technical services team at one of their open cut operations.
Employed as a Senior Engineer – Planning you will be reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent and be responsible for the creation and implementation of mine production schedules designs that provide a safe working environment and a continuous coal supply. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Mining Engineer with at least 5 years experience in an open cut coal operation and a strong background in Planning.
What you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining or Civil)
- Experience in open cut coal mining
- Demonstrated sound written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate with various mine software packages
- The ability to take ownership of the work
- Be willing and able to mentor and coach the engineers in the planning team
