With a long life of mine and high grade deposit, this large scale open pit mine presents a great opportunity and will be prevalent in propelling this company to reach new heights. Due the growth associated with this new development, the company is searching for a Senior Mining Engineer to specialise in production activity.
Job Description
Reporting to the Mining Manager, the key responsibilities of this role will include;
- Short term schedules and mine plans to ensure production targets are consistently met
- Production reporting and analysis
- Assisting, supervising and providing direction to the mining production team
- Assisting with the development and preparation of long term plans
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Senior Mining Engineer role, you will ideally possess;
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
- A minimum of 4 years experience as a Mining Engineer
- Significant levels of experience in open pit hard rock mining
- Familiarity with Australian mining standards and relevant mining softwares
