Senior Modelling Analyst recruitment

Senior Modelling Analyst

We have opportunities in this role in London.

Be a model of success
Being a Senior Modelling Analyst at Barclays is a chance to work with an experienced team and use the most advanced mathematical modelling techniques available. The behavioural models you create will improve strategies and processes and maximise value across the board, making this a role with plenty of impact and visibility. Simply put, it's an opportunity to shape the future of a vital business area and introduce technologies that will transform the way we use mathematical modelling techniques.

What you'll give our customers as a Senior Modelling Analyst
You'll hit the ground running to meet challenging business priorities, developing models for use across all portfolios and their associated documentation. You'll also support the implementation of the models you develop, seeing to it that they fit a variety of risk measurement frameworks. What's more, we'll rely on you to work with stakeholders across Barclays in order to understand their issues, objectives and priorities, and then suggest potential solutions.

What you'll get in return
Help our customers get the best that Barclays has to offer, and you'll get the same in return. We're not just talking about valuable benefits like great bonus potential, private healthcare, childcare savings, and a huge range of employee discounts. You'll also enjoy a unique company spirit that believes in giving people the freedom to do a great job today, and the support to reach their biggest ambitions in the future.

What you'll need as a Senior Modelling Analyst
The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need a degree-level education (or equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, operations research or a related discipline, a track record of building predictive models and strong, demonstrable SAS skills. A detailed knowledge of data analysis, theory and multivariate statistical techniques is essential, as is the ability to interrogate systems and resolve discrepancies. What's more, we'll need to see strong communication skills, with the ability to think quickly and package ideas in a way that's understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences.

We'll judge you on your ability and nothing else.
