Senior Mutual Fund Administrator recruitment

The ideal candidate will have previous work experience in a mutual fund back office and have knowledge of some or all of the following : New Accounts, Transfers, Estates, Registered Products, and Tax Reporting.  The incumbent will be responsible for keeping abreast of the ever changing financial markets.  You are adaptable to work with changing policies, understanding new products, and advising management of trends. 

Key Accountabilities:
•Processing all types of unit holder transactions (financial and non-financial) with a high level of accuracy
•Verify proper paperwork is received and complete. Ensuring follow-up takes place for any outstanding issues.
•Ensure compliance and procedures are adhered to
•Analyze account problems and question transactions
•Identify processing inefficiencies and provide suggestions to streamline processes

•Take initiative with problem solving and coming up with solutions – being an active participate in department meetings.
•Maintain and enhance procedure manuals used for training and reference.
•Confidence and the ability to communicate complicated concepts to internal clients by phone or in person
•Analyze and interpret complex registered and non-registered applications and legal documents and make recommendations to internal clients.

Knowledge / Experience:
-Previous experience working in a mutual fund back office environment

-Knowledge of financial products including RIFs, RESPs, RRSPs, TFSAs and dealing with Estates and Adjustments.

-Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook

-Detail oriented and thorough.
-Good written and communication skills.  A team player.
-Well organized and able to deal with multiple tasks and changing priorities
-Good problem solver
-Ability to do basic mathematical calculations
