Senior .NET Developer recruitment
Position Purpose:
This position is for a full time .net developer in Fixed Income and Currencies Technology division.
The position involves taking ownership of a system that is used for managing porfolios of SLARS (Student Loan Auction Rate Securities). The system supports various middle office functions by providing a framework that implements the businesse's workflow. Functionality such as pricing, document mangement, reconciliation, report generation and protfolio management are supported by the system. The position requires involvement in all aspects of the project life cycle.
Key Accountabilities:
The primary responsibility will involve responding to and enhancing functionality requests driven by the various internal users. Additionally, normal system maintenance will be required as needed to ensure compliance with technology standards. Specific tasks include:
- Working with business on issue tracking and development prioritization
- Development of formal technical requirements
- Design and coding of new features as well as bug fixes
- Change management
- Production issue resolution
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
- NET, WPF SQLServer developer with the following skills:
- 3-5 years solid C# and WPF development
- SQL Server 2005/2008 including stored procs, views and triggers
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in design and creation of SSRS reports
- Experience building WCFservices
- Hand-on experience using PRISM/composite application guidance
- Experience building /Scheduling windows console applications
- Exposure to Excel/VBA programming
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration build and Deployment tools
- Comfortable with the use of Design patterns
- Knowledge or Jira, Visio and PowerPoint
A broad understanding of Fixed Income products and how they are traded (both cash and derivative products) is required. Exposure to SLARS is highly desirable.
Additionally, the candidate must be knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Trade capture
- Pricing methodologies
- Position and portfolio management
- Settlement process
- Strong written and communication skills as well at the ability to focus in on detail are required.
