Summary
This position provides engineering and technical leadership to The Methodist Hospital's Unified Communications practice. Our network is primarily a UC practice, based primarily on Cisco's Unified Communications product suite, is focused on planning, designing, implementing, and managing VOIP and other converged communications solutions for our enterprise. The position is located at The Methodist Hospital Holly Hall Office: 2525 Holly Hall, Houston, TX 77054.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
' Serve as Sr. UC Engineer for Methodist Hospital's Voice Core.
' Lead technical sessions with clients to discover requirements and develop solutions
' Present solutions to clients
' Participate as a 'hands-on' engineer on project deployments
' Provide Customer Training
' Mentor and develop junior engineers
' Evaluate and recommend new technologies
' Document new and existing VoIP Infrastructure
' Maintain technical certifications as required
' Work with remote technical staff on individual projects
' Design new Physician office systems

Education/Certifications
' CCVP certification required
' CCIE voice preferred
' Four-year degree preferred
' Hands-on experience required

Required Technical and Work Experience
' 8+ years hands on experience planning, designing, and implementing Cisco's UC product line, including Unified Communications Manager 7.x and above, Communications Manager Express 7.x and above, Unity 7.x and above, Unity Express 7.x and above, Unity Connection 7.x and above, and Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) 7.x and above.
' Experience designing and implementing multisite voice deployments
' Expertise using Cisco tools to develop a project Bill of Materials, including proper software licensing, is required
' Expertise with communications protocols such as H323 / SIP / MGCP / SCCP
' Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Technical and Work Experience
' Expertise integrating Cisco solutions with other vendor products such as overhead paging systems
' Contact Center scripting experience
' Expertise with the configuration and implementation of Cisco Voice Gateways.
' Strong working knowledge with route plans, calling search spaces, and partitions in multisite environments
' Strong troubleshooting skills involving all aspects of the Cisco VoIP infrastructure.
