The Company
My client, a leading Bulge Bracket Investment Bank is seeking a highly qualified and experienced network engineer to join its APAC Global Markets Infrastructure group in Hong Kong.
The Role
Your key responsibilities will be to provide Design, Build and Operational support for low latency and exchange co-located infrastructure to support electronic trading systems. You will work in partnership with business and technology partners to deliver lowest latency designs while also acting as an advisor to both internal and external clients. You will track industry changes across the region and be a central part of the banks co-location strategy and business deliverables across the region. You will also work on strategies to develop innovative latency monitoring and availability tools for use by the relevant lines of business.
Your Profile
You will have approximately 10 years experience working within the financial services sector with an excellent understanding of network Infrastructure. You will have a strong knowledge of FIX, Market Data APIs and Market Data protocols (exchange and vendor) with a solid understanding of front office trading. Ideally you will also have in-depth knowledge of regional connectivity markets with solid skills in Low Latency tools. Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Arista etc. and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby etc. will be highly desired. Fluency in English with ability in other Asian languages advantageous.
