Senior Network Engineer
Successful proprietary trading firm is looking to hire an experienced Senior Network Engineer to work hand in hand with a technology group known for its sophistication and top of the line technology footprint. The firm engages in numerous markets and trading venues, primarily in support of its high frequency trading specialty. The Senior Network Engineer, who is an expert with low latency / high frequency infrastructure, will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and optimization of network and security architecture, performing network capacity planning, benchmarking, project management, team leadership and idea generation. Deep familiarity with network and exchange connectivity is a must, as is expertise with Cisco, various protocols, firewalls, optics, snooping, routing, and associated risks that may impede network productivity. Position requires experience within low latency networking and trading environments, proven collaboration with business and technology partners, the utilization and management of myriad vendors, a computer science or equivalent degree (MS, highly regarded). 6-10 years of minimum, relevant experience.
