Senior Network Engineer (Cisco) 65-85K + Hedgefund Bonus

My client is a leading systematic trading house looking for a Network Engineer to join their infrastructure and security team. The role is very hands on and will involve network installation and maintenance, troubleshooting and project work covering a broad scope of IT infrastructure alongside the Market Data and Windows infrastructure teams.
The candidate should have a strong academic background, with a 2.1 degree or above from a well respected institute. This role requires an extensive background in Network engineering and support, preferably within a financial environment, for example in investment banking, hedge funds or asset management.
The skills and desired experience required for this role include: Cisco CLI, TCP/IP and broad understanding of network technologies and how they fit into financial companies technical environment. CCIE (R+S) accreditation is desirable.
Candidate will be a self starter, be task orientated with attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills as well as technical knowledge and have a clear desire to succeed. Salary will depend on experience and skills and is by no means restricted to the range quoted for an excellent candidate. Meanwhile, any Network Engineer with a similar profile who also has a Systems Administration background or any Scripting experience (Perl or Powershell) would also be considered.
