Senior Network Engineer – Team Lead – Multicast recruitment

We are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Team Lead to join our Networks and Systems business unit in London. You will perform a key role within our Service Operations Team and will be responsible for detailed design, documentation and service development on the IP/MPLS core and access networks and large customer solutions including access and security and hosting platforms.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and handling client requests that escalated through 1st and 2nd line Engineers.
- Responsible 3rd Line support for Routing, Firewall and Load Balancing issues, for both customer and infrastructure.
- Manage team workload and morale, Identifying and resolving complex data networking problems utilising structured troubleshooting methods, techniques and tools.
- Making decisions requiring analytical, interpretative and evaluative thinking; decisions may not conform to established patters; may oversee decisions made by others.
- Monitoring all networking infrastructure to ensure service level agreements providing customer technical support and escalation
- Participating in the on-call rotation
Essential experience and qualifications:
- In-depth Multicast Networks experience (VRF, AS, BGP) in a switched/routed network
- Minimum 3-7 years experience in network support, design, and architecture
- Sniffer Tracing of Data Networks
- CCIE qualified (Studying/certified)
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, firewalls
- Understanding of Data Centre technologies
- Understanding of securing local and remote networks
- Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team lead experience
