Senior Network Engineer
Overview
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join us on an exciting project rolling out a data and voice network for a new hospital in the Los Angeles area over the next 12 to 18 months. The successful candidate for this position will have a solid technical understanding of data and voice network design as well as the leadership skills to provide oversight to vendors and guidance to other team members engaged in installing, configuring and testing network components and systems. This is a fast-paced, demanding position and a great opportunity for the selected candidate to demonstrate significant accomplishments working with a high performing team.
Scope of work
· Senior position requiring detailed network and security design and installation of network facilities, including hardware, software, and system data for a new hospital’s data network.
· Will be providing leadership and expertise over a network team on a new deployment and will be responsible for all connectivity in a hospital environment, including:
§ Switches
§ Routers
§ Network Core
§ Network Sever Farm
§ Firewalls
§ VPN
§ DHCP
§ Session Border controllers for VoIP
§ Wireless
§ VoIP SIP
§ Internet
§ Detail design and architecture of services
Responsibilities include:
§ Detailed network designs
§ Network Security design
§ Network standards
§ Network setup and configuration of all appliances
§ Setup of management systems
§ Setup of redundancy architecture
§ Providing leadership and work guidance to team and vendors
Qualifications
§ Must be local to Southern California
§ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
§ 5 years+ of experience in data and/or voice networks
§ Experience working with local area network systems and technical infrastructure communication issues
§ Experience working with network software, hardware, systems and networking principles, data, voice or video
Term: 12-18 months contract or corp-to-corp.
Pay Rate: $90/hour - $110/hour DOE
