Kalles Group is a technology focused staffing and recruiting company. We are looking to hire a Network and Security Engineer for a full-time position for one of our clients.  This position is with a mid-size network and security consulting firm located in Seattle.  This role designs, installs, upgrades, analyzes and troubleshoots technical security controls for a wide range of client environments. This role acts as the lead technical contact at presales meetings and manages projects as a team lead or project member for various deployments.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Design, install, upgrade, analyze and/or troubleshoot technical security controls (i.e., Authentication systems, Virtual Private Networks, Vulnerability scanners, Firewalls, and/or other network security devices)

·         Analyze and document existing client architectures, security policies and physical infrastructure for risk practices and best practices analysis reports

·         Lead technical presales meetings for technical control deployments in a wide variety of network environments

·         May write presale Statements of Work for technical control deployments in a wide variety of environments

·         Presales work should focus on integrated technical solutions plainly conveyed for customers. As necessary, graphical drawings and models should be used.

·         Manage projects as a team lead or project member (may include; writing requirements analyses, performing project scoping, solving client problems, reporting project status, performing technical analysis, and meeting tight deadlines.

·         Research and develop additional Technical Control Solution Framework Technologies to align with the Information Security Management System risk treatment strategies and solutions.

·         Attend training and achieve certification with the key technology vendors such as Cisco (General certifications such as CCNA and CCSP, specific training/certification, such as EMC/RSA solution set (Envision, SecurID, DLP) as well as Palo Alto, Cisco and McAfee firwewalls and related software and hardware.

·         The TCS Engineer is also responsible for continuous product knowledge development through vendor-sponsored training and self-paced study.

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Four-year college degree is required, preferably in business, computer science, MIS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Extensive knowledge and experience with technical security controls and vulnerabilities including Authentication systems, Virtual Private Networks, Vulnerability scanners, Firewalls, and other network security devices.

·         Certifications or equivalent work experience with the technology vendors such as EMC/RSA, McAfee, Cisco. (CCDA, CCNA, CSSP, etc)

·         Extensive knowledge and experience installing, analyzing, and troubleshooting networking technology including TCP/IP, Routers, Switching, VLANs, LANs, WANs and Wireless systems.

·         Strong project management skills including requirements analysis, project scoping, problem solving, status reporting, technical analysis, and meeting tight deadlines.

·         Strong technical consulting skills including making recommendations in both written and oral form, leading training for clients and peers, understanding client work practices and showing initiative when confronted with urgent and complex technical dilemmas.

·         Strong collaborative and communication skills including working with internal cross-discipline teams, vendor engineering resources, and client technical leads.

·         Familiarity with organizational policies, business requirements for information security, contractual issues, and the regulations related to information security. Should have some basic understanding of intellectual property issues, protection, and retention of organizational records and common compliance standards for information protection such as GLB, Sarbanes, PCI, and HIPAA.

·         Experience building and securing Windows 2003 and 2008 Servers in an enterprise setting

·         Experience with: Patch Management, Windows Authentication, Group Policy Management, Active Directory Certificate Services

·         General knowledge and experience of business processes, practices, and organizational structures.
