Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and supervise all release activities into production environment.
• Evaluate, test, deploy and maintain both custom developed and third party software upgrades
• Maintain and manage a large-scale Windows 200x web farm and troubleshoot and resolve production problems in a timely manner.
• Take ownership of production issues, working closely with the infrastructure and development teams on issue resolution
• Assists in planning, designing and implementing a high quality production environment.
• Maintain and update documentation of the computing environment.
• Travel to datacenters for the deployment of the server architecture.
• Will respond to all system problems on a 7X24 basis and take part in on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
• Solid background on TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows networking environment. Strong knowledge of NetIQ monitoring software is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of ASPx/HTML, Windows 200x, IIS, HP, Cisco UCS server technology and fluent in at least one scripting language such Java Script, VB Script or Powershell
• Experience with HP, Cisco UCS server hardware, SAN and business suite management software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP and security best practice with Windows 2003 minimum (2008 desired).
• Extensive knowledge of windows command line utilities and tools.
• Experience with VMware VSphere virtualization desired.
Experience Needed:
• 4 years hands-on experience on system administration skills, server build and server troubleshooting in collocation environments. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in a mission-critical production environment of 100+ servers using Microsoft Windows 200x, SQL Server, MS Clusters, .NET Platform and IIS Web Server.
• 4 years solid VB and Windows scripting and automation experience in a mission critical production environment.
• 4 years hands-on experience designing and managing server farms running .NET applications for E-commerce systems infrastructure.
