Senior Open Source (Cloud) Software Architect at SENTAI (Paris, France) (allows remote)
Job Description
Work on a cutting edge cloud based financial web application on a PAAS (Jelastic) infrastructure with a team of top level engineers developers.
We are looking for a freelance (not an offshore company) senior open source system software architect, with good knowledge of PAAS, and various open source components. Good communication, excellent documentation.
Tasks / Duration: Lead, manage, and co-develop with a team of 4 Java developers (2 senior). Flexible but minimum half-time, for 2 consecutive 6 months periods.
Manage Overall Development:
- Manage each team member tasks and organize them for delivery using Atlassian Jira
- Set Milestones and organize releases in an Agile way (Jira Agile)
- Manage releases rollout to Jelastic UAT environment
- DB Model: Setup Overall DB Model with other Lead developers
Software Architecture: Manage and enhance an existing software infrastructure designed on the Jelastic PAAS platform:
- Jelastic Topology and Configuration
- Infrastructure diagrams and requirements
- Software components interactions
Nodes / Servers: GlassFish, PostgreSQL, Nginx, MongoDB, Memcached
VPS in a PAAS environment:
- CentOS / Oracle VPS for SP CapitalIQ XPL
- Repose Rate Limiting Reverse Proxy VPS
- PostgreSQL DB wal backup VPS on Jelastic Instance: BARMAN on CentOS or Ubuntu, with cron
ETL (extract/transform/load): Manage Oversee the implementation of a TALEND based ETL, cron scheduling, and connection to two Datasources:
- Jelastic Instance: the CentOS / Oracle / SP XPL VPS and DB
- VMWARE or windowsazure.com instance: of a W2008 Server / SQL 2008 DB
Remote: The candidate will have to work remotely and participate in multiple Google Hangout meetings. Preferable english mother tongue, but fluency in English acceptable.
P/T - F/T: Possibility of part-time contribution on a minimum of 3 months basis. This type of arrangement would be based on a project component oriented task.
Knowledge: of equity valuation, accounting valuation principles, and financial markets a plus.
Remuneration: In relation to qualification and experience. Very competititve.
