Senior Operational Risk Analyst – Energy Major
My client a global leading energy firm with a successful trading business based in London require a Senior Operational Risk Analyst to work at their trading head office. The Operational Risk Analyst will support the trading business by ensuring operational risks are identified, investigated, monitored, mitigated and reported.
Operational Risk Senior Analyst - The role:
- Designing, implement and support operational risk indicators across the trading organisation.
- Collect, collate, analyse and report statistical data and risk indicators to identify risk trends
- Assist with the collation and production of monthly operational risk report to the Risk Management committee
- Review/document/assess end to end and processes to identify weaknesses/controls gaps. Propose appropriate controls to strengthen documented end to end process.
- Investigate, document and report process failures across the Midstream business.
- Provide support to other Operational Risk team members.
Operational Risk Senior Analyst - The Person
- Sound analytical and lateral thinking ability. Must be detail-oriented.
- Experience of power and gas trading is preferable, ideally within an operations focussed discipline.
- Educated to degree in a Science, Engineering or analytical subject is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel in particular.
- Should have a desire to forge a successful career in commodity risk management, and must be a team player who can provide analyst cover within the Operational Risk team. Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
