Senior Operational Risk Officer (M/F) recruitment
To support its dynamic expansion within Belgium, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Officer.
Within the Operational Risk Management department, the Senior Risk Officer is responsible for defining and deploying the operational risk within the bank.
- Participation to the evaluation of the retail branches (compliance, procedures, laws and regulations)
- Delivering useful insights and action plans for improvement of the internal control framework for the operational activities in the bank, in order to identify potential risks and possible corrective actions
- Regularly check up the quality of the Operational Risk assessments and analysis of the procedure, process and new products
- Assist the Head of the department for local or global risk related projects
- Preparation of risk inventory and follow-up of risk indicators
Job Requirements
To be considered for the position you must demonstrate :
- Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration or any other relevant field
- At least 5 years expertise in banking or auditing functions in a banking environment, with a focus on operational risk, control and compliance, risk assessment or information security
- A previous experience in retail branch network and a knowledge of international standards (ex. Coso) is a must
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Dutch as well as a very good command of French and Dutch is mandatory
- Problem solving mentality and strong analytical skills
- Autonomous, rigorous, efficient and team-player
- Strong business acumen with an obvious entrepreneurial mindset and "can do" attitude
- Able to work under pressure
- Pro-active and dynamic
- Flexible and mobile in Belgium
