Senior Operations Manager
An international investment and petroleum-trading company. The firm is specialized in selling large volumes of crude oil and refined products, particularly diesel, jet fuel, petrol and other petroleum products. The company buys the crude oil and refined products and distributes it to several major oil companies. To support her American presence the company is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for the office in New York.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure orders are delivered on time as per agreed service level agreement in a safe cost effective manner
*Follow up with transporters to ensure timely delivery of the (refined) products
*Contact shipbrokers, appoint inspectors and ensure insurances regarding the vessel and loading/offloading products
*Day-to-day planning to ensure fulfillment of the business strategy
*Communicate all payments and vessel information to the Finance Manager and the Commercial Manager
General Requirements
*Petroleum (upstream) industry knowledge
*Aligning business needs international best practices
*Be willing to be based in New York
*Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), French will be an advantage
Qualifications and expertise (Must)
*10 years international petroleum logistical experience in the USA or South America
*Bachelor / Master degree in Logistics or related
*Must have a Work and Residence Permit in the US
