Job summary:

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for driving performance, quality, and productivity for clinical staff. The Manager will also work in collaboration with MedAssurant’s corporate office on quality initiatives to ensure interventions and services are implemented according to pre-established protocols and care plan guidelines regarding chronic care program patient goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to fulfill the Clinical Management communication role between MedAssurant, employees, healthcare providers, and members of our clients.

 

Responsibilities: 

·         Identify the need and implement chronic care management interventions as guided by pre-established protocols and procedures, which includes conducting face-to-face clinical assessments of patients, and educating/coaching patients in regard to chronic conditions;

·         Establish communication with local primary care and specialty physicians, clinical and non-clinical vendors and social resource agencies in an attempt to construct a patient-centric program dedicated to comprehensive clinical and psychosocial support for members;

·         Critically evaluate patients clinical cases through reviews of patients treatment plans and medical records;

·         Provide appropriate documentation to physicians and providers in accordance to national guidelines;

·         Interview, hire, orient, and evaluate performance of clinical staff to function productively in the In Market clinical roles of care management;

·         Implement processes and procedures necessary for compliance with the MedAssurant Quality Management Program;

·         Manage the Pedorthist staff and administrative assistants at the New York In Market Centers;

·         Serve as the primary resource for the In Market administrative team;

Requirements: 

·         BSN, RN licensed in the state of New York;

·         Five years minimum experience with direct member education in the area of chronic conditions including diabetes, asthma, cardiovascular, and other chronic disease diagnoses;

·         Minimum of three years management experience in staff management and development. Prior medical office management experience is highly desired;

·         Direct or indirect experience in disease management program design, outreach and/or implementation;

·         Must travel within the state of New York to multiple site locations plus minimally travel outside of New York on a need be basis. Travel requirement within the state of New York may be up to 80%;

·         Ability to manage and meet deadlines;

·         Highly computer literate and detail oriented;

·         Professionally skilled in personal presentation, verbal, and written communication; and

·         Meticulous organizational skills.
