What will an Oracle developer at SymphonyIRI be responsible for?
· Design and development of databases supporting business applications
· Performance tuning support for applications with VLDB (1 TB+) databases
(creating stored procedures, tuning, triggers)
· Hands-on development using Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, ERWIN and linux scripting.
· Be involved in the full life-cycle and be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time, within approved budget and in line with business objectives
What are the required skills?
· Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 6 years of IT work experience focused in DB development, performance tuning and application support.
· Strong analysis and design of quality technical DB solutions for business applications
· Strong database experience using Oracle 10g/11g
· Knowledge of data warehouse architectures, concepts and technologies. Large data experience with multi-terabyte systems preferred.
· Demonstrated experience working within a team environment
· Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and adhere to schedules
*Understanding of data modeling using ERWIN a plus
