Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe.
Products and services include wealth management, stockbroking and retail lending and banking solutions such as residential and commercial mortgages, investment lending, credit cards and relationship banking to businesses and professionals.
An exciting and challenging position has become available for an experienced Paraplanner to join our Business here in Brisbane. Your role will be to provide quality and timely strategic financial plans for financial advisers on a regional and occasionally, a national basis depending on work flow. You will be working as the sole Paraplanner here in Brisbane and will have a high level of support from the broader national team who you will report into. It is imperative that you can be flexible and adaptable to deal with changing priorities in the business. You may provide direction with your technical knowledge and be able to receive direction in your work with an ethic of continuous learning and development. You will also demonstrate a keen desire to excel in delivering a high level of service to the advisers.
The responsibilities in the role will be;
- Develop strategically accurate and timely Statements of Advice (SoA's);
- Providing technical and compliance support to advisers and peers
- Active participation in process improvements within the team
- Supporting special projects
- Engaging in continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
To be successful in the role you will have;
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong technical skills and the ability to prepare strategic SOA's
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with COIN would be advantageous.
- The ability to work autonomously with a high level of self motivation
- Strong commercial acumen
- An advanced diploma in Financial planning. If you are working towards a CFP that would be favourable.
