Role
The primary/intial aspect of the role is to assist the Principal Consultant in the day to day management of client relationships and the provision of timely, accurate advice to the principals clients. Key activities in support of this function are as follows:
• Attendence at client meetings
• Securing information and production of analysis in support of the advice priocess
• Research that ensures optimum planning solutions are offered to the principal’s clients
• Maintenance of accurate records in support of advice provided
• Working effectively with the administrators within the Principals team to maintain workflow
• Help maintain the high standards of compliance already present in the principal’s team
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge of both financial planning and investment concepts in general PLUS a more specific understanding of how they apply to the company’s business model and delivery of the client proposition
• Building of strong relationships with other members of the team, in particular Employee Benefit Consultants, Client Managers and Account Managers.
The secondary aspect the role is to see the Senior paraplanner develop and/or support the principals practice and the proposition in a broader sense as follows :
• Segmentation - to address the need to properly segment the principals client bank identifying those clients who need to be ‘ring fenced’ into a reactively serviced pool, and those who need to be prioritised for ‘full service’
• Investment – to maintain a high level of knowledge of both the internal investment offering and those of partner DFMs so as to be able to act as as a primary reference point for clients with substantial assets under our advice
• Cashflow planning – to assist the proposition in developing a commerically viable approach to delivering cashflow analysis to clients as a premium service
• Projects – identifying key client groupings that need specific action taken in respect of legislative changes that may otherwise have detrimental impact on their wealth.
• Best practice - liaise with the WM proposition team and contribute obervations and ideas that can help improve on current notions of best practice

Person Specification
