Senior Partner – Energy Fund Management job requirement
A fantastic opportunity has arisen working for a Boutique Natural Resources Specialist investment management company. The role can be based in London or Switzerland.
The successful candidate would become a senior partner. He/she will be crucial to manage the energy fund portfolio and take independent decisions. He/she would work with another senior energy analyst and other senior partners. As a shareholder he/she would be involved in the decision making processes of the company.
Key Qualities:
- Senior position with proven analytical and Portfolio management skills
- Dual expertise (operational (geophysicist/geologist in EP industry additional to PM/financial expertise) would be an upper hand advantage
- Strong background in bottom-up analysis (operational and financial) of energy companies, including DCF analysis
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- The successful candidate is responsible for managing the energy portfolio and build financial models, aiding the investment process
- Strong marketing skills and good network with brokers and industry management in Europe would be an advantage
- Experience in natural resources (oil, gas, uranium etc). Should you come from a geological or mining engineer background, that would definitely be preferable.
- Available to start within 1-2months
We look for an entrepreneurial candidate who can take our energy fund and bring to top performance again (4.5 years track record).
This is an opportunity to “run your own company” under the umbrella, a group of asset management companies with proven track record. The successful candidate would become a major shareholder in the advisory company; if successful, the total package can be in the order of several million €s.
Some travel is required but not excessively, project/conference trips (2-3x globally/year) and marketing trips (short trips and presentations in Europe only)
Languages needed
English (German/French would be a bonus)
