Senior Payroll Developer, (VB6, SQL Server) Central London
A passionate and driven Senior Payroll Developer who is highly experienced with VB6 and SQL Server, is required by our client in central London to join their expanding development team.
As a Senior Payroll Developer you will be joining our client, a world leader in delivering on-demand SaaS solutions, primarily within the hospitality industry. Through a continued period of growth this Tech Track 100 Company requires a Senior Payroll Developer with a passion for software development and technology to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Developer to work on a world-class product in addition to excellent scope for progression.
Your core responsibilities as a Senior Payroll Developer (VB6, SQL Server) will include:
- Coding and testing SaaS hospitality solutions built on n-tier architecture.
- Developing software applications and producing technical documentation for award winning Payroll Software
- Participating in new development, customization and updates
- Reporting to the System Support Manager
- Staying up to date and gaining experience with new Microsoft Technologies
Essential Skills include:
- 5 or more years’ experience in VB6 and SQL Server
- Visual Studio 2008 or 2010 and 2+ ASP experience
- Javascript, JQuery, XML, AJAX
- Experience with all aspects of Payroll development
- OO Programming experience and delivery methodologies
- Enthusiasm and vision with a strong desire to work in a dynamic collaborative environment.
Desirables:
- Experience with all aspects of Payroll Development, from the basics to BACS transmission - a huge advantage
- Experience with the HMRC Accreditation Process – an advantage
- Microsoft Professional Certification - desired
