This position is located in our CA, Edwards AFB facility

Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software. Requires knowledge of DoD and AF standards and architecture and the ability to install, configure, support and sustain AFRL classified and unclassified computer resources. Provide suport for Windows XP, Vista and 7 as well as Red Hat Linux and derivitives and Mac OS as well as mobile devices. Software virtualization using Citrix and application testing on Windows 7 strongly desired.

1. Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.
2. Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support and assists with application security evaluation
3. Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
4. Provides advanced troubleshooting and support and will participate in application virtualization.
5. Performs touch maintenance at the users location
6. Provides phone and help-desk support for local and off-site users.
7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
9. Documents work in Remedy or other designated data collection system

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

3-5 years of directly related experience supporting help desk operations.

Must meet FISMA (DoD 8570.01-M) requriements for enclave support - Sec + and Secret Clearance as well as appropriate technical certifications required. Additional certification(s) in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred: Windows 7, Linux and Mac. ITIL Foundation certification a plus.
