SENIOR PENSIONS ADMINISTRATOR recruitment
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing Relationships:
- First point of contact for external contacts and our third party administrator on all pension scheme operational matters.
- Liaise with Compliance, Risk and tax specialist teams for management of scheme returns, auditing, complaints.
- Manage queries from internal contacts such as CRMs, IFA Account Managers, requesting support and information as appropriate.
- Establish relationships with Fund Managers ensuring agreements are correctly in place between Nucleus and Fund Managers and provide evaluation of assets for inclusion within the SIPP.
- Manage and respond to queries from IFA partners adding new funds or turning on existing assets for wrappers not already available.
- Managing Process and Administration:
- Oversee pensions administrator performed by third party administration service.
- Oversee pension rated transactions for both uncrystallised and crystallised funds including: transfers, reregistrations, new business applications, employer contributions, investment choice, drawdown / phased drawdown, death benefits, GAD reviews, changes to income requirements, pension tax relief (PTRAS), trustee relationships, benefit crystallisation events (BCEs).
- Assist in the streamline of internal processes ensuring the effective delivery of information through end to end review and audits of outsourced processes.
- Continue to enhance operational processes and procedures, including addition of best practice from previous experience.

- Liaise with external auditors for scheme return audit.

Core Requirements:
- Strong pensions knowledge.
- Knowledge of wrap platforms and products desirable.
- Talisman experience desirable, not essential.
- Some knowledge of general finance asset administration.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- IAQ qualified
- Knowledge of regulatory environment and relevant legislation (e.g. Pensions Act 2004)
- Formal pension qualifications provided by an accredited agency (e.g. Pensions Management Institute)
- Maintain up to date experience of current pensions legislation, working with third party pension specialists.
