Responsibilities
Columbia Management, a division of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a Sr. Performance Analyst to be based in Minneapolis, MN. The position supports initiatives specific to performance measurement and analysis for Columbia Asset Management's investment products. It involves collecting, calculating, measuring and analyzing investment performance data while working with multiple systems to produce and communicate results to internal business clients including: Marketing; Client Reporting; Portfolio Managers; Senior Business Leaders; Compliance; Product Development; and other professionals.
Ongoing responsibilities include:
* Produce recurring performance deliverables, including returns, statistics, characteristics, attribution
* Provide performance metrics to internal clients on an ad hoc basis as needed
* Produce and load a variety of performance data into internal systems
* Ensure completeness and accuracy of performance metrics
* Participate in implementation of changes impacting performance metrics, including development of solutions
* Provide supplementary information / data to Sales, Marketing, and other business partners as needed
* Partner with Operations, Administration and Technology to ensure data quality and to identify and resolve issues related to reporting
* Review marketing materials pertaining to performance-related metrics
* Work on ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
Required:
* Expert knowledge of performance measurement concepts; CIPM preferred
* 4+ years work experience specific to performance measurement and analysis
* 6+ years work experience in investment management or financial services
* BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of investment concepts
* High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access
* Experience with Factset, Bloomberg
* Strong knowledge of and experience with transaction based returns
