Senior Petroleum Economist – London recruitment
We are currently working with a major international EP firm who are looking to hire a Senior Petroleum Economist to join their team in London. The firm has extensive international operations, particularly within sub-Saharan Africa, North America and Asia-Pacific, and are undergoing extensive growth as they look to expand further worldwide.
In this position you will look to complete risk based analysis on both operating ventures and new business ventures, and provide strategic support on investment decisions. You will undertake economic valuation of both operating assets to assess the return on further investment, as well as providing key decision support on new business ventures internationally. You will also play a key role in the reporting of the unconventional hydrocarbon reserves for the firm, and build and develop models for reporting on the firms resource position.
You should have strong relevant working experience in the oil gas industry, ideally in a similar role where you have undertaken economic analysis to either evaluate investment decisions or to assess existing operations. A strong analytical background with excellent modelling skills is also essential, and you will be educated to degree level in a finance or quantitative discipline.
