Senior Physical Therapy Specialist

Step onto the campus of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical center, and join the brightest minds in rehabilitation medicine. As a Senior Physical Therapy Specialist, you’ll lead a team of Acute Care Physical Therapists assigned to our cardiopulmonary population. You’ll foster innovative practices and access a broad variety of research and educational opportunities.

Enrich program development and training across multiple settings. Physical therapy in the ICU, VAD programs, and post-surgical cardiac and thoracic patient populations will all fall within your leadership realm.

Several of our therapists recently delivered an innovative presentation on "Alternative Techniques: Pilates, Yoga and Deep Breathing," at the Cystic Fibrosis National Conference. Colleague Glen Gillen EdD, OTR, FAOTA, authored the widely referenced book Stroke Rehabilitation: A Function-Based Approach. The ideal candidate is a senior clinical specialist with demonstrated expertise in acute care cardiopulmonary physical therapy. NYS licensure is required, supported by a minimum two years’ experience in an acute care setting. Advanced clinical training and/or cardiopulmonary PT certification is also required.
