Senior Pipeline Engineer Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada

Primary Focus

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of engineering, procurement and construction processes for the pipeline scope of the Norealis Pipeline Project.

Responsibilities

Manage the execution of the pipeline scope of the Norealis Pipeline Project, assuring approved scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives are achieved.

Accountable for the quality, cost, scope and schedules of all work performed by consultants and contractors.

Responsible for working with internal Construction Management resources on constructability and construction planning.

Accountable to ensure compliance with Project Procedures, design standards (includes providing recommendations for improvements) and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for working with Procurement to ensure all the necessary material is procured and available as dictated by the project schedule.

Responsible for working with internal stakeholders to achieve synergies with other Enbridge projects.

Responsible for ensuring that throughout the execution process, effective and pro-active communication is maintained with all internal and external stakeholders.

Practice sound project management in accordance with company expectations.

Responsible for working effectively within a collaborative team structure.

Qualifications

A Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years progressive experience in the construction or oil gas industry, preferably pipeline related. Other combinations of education, training and experience may also be considered.

Preferred disciplines are mechanical and civil engineering.

Sound knowledge of the design and construction of pipelines and related facilities (piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, structural etc.) and associated standards and specifications.

Ability to oversee other engineering disciplines.

Exceptional planning and organizational skills.

Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, decision making skills and teamwork skills with proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good collaborative work style.
