Based in Perth CBD, you will be working as part of a multi-talented, cross-functional and highly qualified team across a mine expansion which will include expanding the mine facilities, rail capacity enhancement program, and port expansion.
What you will be doing:
As a Senior Planner, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Planning of project activities from start to finish
- Perform feasibility studies to internal Project Managers and etc.
- Perform Project Planning reports
- Delivery of bid schedules, executed on time
- Report site activities on a weekly basis
- Updating schedule according to actual site status
- Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Managers
- Analyse the detailed plan and recovery plan prepared by subcontractors
- Support project team to prepare weekly and monthly reports
Who you will be doing it for:
This global EPCM is a major force in the mining space in Australia and since 2008 has doubled in size while their competition has contracted. Based in Perth and offices around Australia this large consultancy has been chosen as the preferred EPCM for more than $15B in works over the next five years by their client.
To apply for this role you must have:
- Strong Planning and Project Management background ideally in materials handling, rail, oil gas or mine expansions
- Ability to produce excellent schedules in engineering, procurement, contracts and construction
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond promptly to urgent requests
- Excellent understanding of resource management
- Proven project planning success
- Strong IT knowledge (MS Office, Primavera 6 and Oracle)
- Strong commercial knowledge and intuition
You will be highly regarded if you also have:
- Over 10 years experience working as a Planner in mining projects
- Previous experience in large mineral processing or materials handling projects or studies
- 5+ years experience working for an EPCM
