A NSW Government Department is seeking a Senior Policy Officer for a 6 month contract.
  
The primary purpose of this position is to review and monitor a strategic health promotion plan. It also involves formulation of policies, programs and projects around Drug and Alcohol related issues. 
 
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA 
 
·         Experience in policy analysis, development, implementation and review, particularly in the human services sector.

·         An understanding of the policy process

·         High level Project management and the ability to drive projects forward

·         High-level written and verbal communication skills.

·         Experience in the human services sector

·         Ability to manage various tasks concurrently, work under pressure and meet tight and varying deadlines.

·         Experience in providing advice on issues like health promotion and initiatives

·         Experience in preparing ministerial briefings and correspondence
